I believe that all individuals hold the key to their own happiness and possess the power to change their lives for the better… Life crises and ongoing stressors often afford an opportunity for self-examination and progressive change within.

At these challenging, stagnant points of our lives it is often helpful to seek out professional, objective guidance and support in evaluating these situations, understanding our needs, recognizing our thoughts, and identifying what needs to change.  Developing this enhanced self-awareness and a constructive, proactive roadmap allows for the creation of change within in the form of healthy coping strategies, improvement of overall mental health, and ultimately greater life satisfaction.

I approach counseling and psychotherapy from a thoughtful, humanistic, solution focused perspective.  Through a collaborative effort with the individual, couple, or family, I incorporate principles from strengths based, cognitive-behavioral, DBT (mindfulness), psycho-educational, and solution-focused modalities.  I also teach clients to recognize their own personal power and encourage ways to rewrite their own life story in a way that is both authentic, progressive, and empowering. Just as each client looks differently; their life story is different, and therefore therapeutic needs are different. As such, each treatment plan is highly tailored to the individual needs of my client.

I graduated from University of LaVerne in 2004 with my Masters in Marriage, Family, Child, Therapy. I am a licensed clinician with the state of California, and have been practicing psychotherapy for over 15 years. I have a solid foundation in working with diverse family systems and unique client situations/life stressors.  Some of my specialties include working with adolescents, women in recovery, court ordered populations, mood, anxiety, and thought disorders, developmental stressors (life transitions), grief and loss, relationship issues, as well as addictions, trauma, and parenting issues.  If my areas of expertise seem to reflect areas in which you or a family member could use guidance and empowerment, please contact our office and I will be happy to consult with you. Carpe Diem!!
