My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and comfortable environment that provides professional support and practical feedback to help individuals, couples and families learn to deal with life concern.
I have been licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1990 and have been associated with Haven Psychological Associates since 1991. My 44 years of diverse services in education as both a regular and special education teacher, a school psychologist and university instructor have prepared me to deal with a wide range of concerns. I have extensive experience in dealing with adolescents and their families deal with school adjustment, ADHD, developmental and parenting issues.
I also, enjoy working with couples and have taken special trainings in this area. My therapeutic style is Integrative or eclectic, drawing from approaches such as client-centered, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral, Positive and Mindfulness therapy.
My client present with a variety of concerns including adjustment disorders, co-dependency, anxiety disorder, depression, family conflicts and parenting concerns.
I am a compassionate therapist who works with clients to develop more positive and nurturing relationships and to create more joy in their lives.
