Stacey Merrell, LMFT
I am a compassionate, direct and interactive therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address their treatment goals. I offer a highly personalized approach, tailored to each client's unique needs. I work with each individual to help them identify and build upon their strengths. I believe that the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. I collaborate with my client's and help them step away from problem saturated and oppressive stories, to discovering and/or creating new untold stories which include prefered accounts of their lives, hopes, values, dreams and relationships.
Among my areas of expertise are victims of abuse and neglect, couples counseling, parenting, depression, anxiety, ADHD, delinquency, and substance abuse. I am an Incredible Years Parenting Group Facilitator, a DOT qualified SAP, trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and completed Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Counseling.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I also work with a variety of EAP insurance beneficiaries providing solution-focused, brief therapy, to help clients manage stress, and balance work and home life. I have enjoyed providing Clinical Supervision to Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees and Interns since 2010.
